IN AN EFFORT TO CONTINUE THE CRITICAL DIALOGUE IN A FLUID WAY, HULK HAS A FEW CLARIFICATIONS ON HULK’S MAN OF STEEL ARTICLE!

As I first read the original article, I actually groaned at the second intro–not out of disagreement but in trepidation of the pedants descending on it to hold over Hulk’s head for the rest of Hulk’s digital days.
Our culture at large loves to conflate “generalization” to “over-generalization”. In an argument, we brandish the phrase, “Well, that’s just a generalization!” as though it’s a bad thing as opposed to a wholly necessary one. Most of the observations and facts of our lives rely on generalities, and a handful of contradictory anecdotes do not refute valid generalizations.
It may be true that a dog is a furry, four-legged animal, but we internet-folk would decry and contest the fact because as kids our neighbors’ dog only had three legs. Obviously that generalization shows that veterinarians are jerks who don’t know what they’re talking about. Why can’t they just enjoy its warm kisses rather than condescend to us about what is and isn’t a dog? Also this one time, it turned out to be a wolf, and it almost ate us so what do veterinarians know anyway?
God help the person who dares offer a few guidelines without accounting for every possible outlier or counterexample. When the mood strikes Hulk, go ahead and offer us whatever rules of thumb Hulk keeps at hand. Don’t let the bastards keep or wear Hulk down.
OKAY, YOUR DOG METAPHOR IS INCREDIBLY APT. HULK MAY COME BACK TO THIS A BUNCH OF TIMES IT’S SO GOOD. CHEERS AND SINCERELY THANK YOU FOR IT!
Just echoing what the commenters down below have said. The link for this article won’t work because of some database issue! I just read the original article about dramatizing character and I’d love to read this one as well! Thanks!
I get a database error for that article on badassdigest. Only that one, not for any other of your reviews…
I get the database error instead of the article as well.
I get the same error as Stefan. Could you tell Badass Digest about it?
I also get a database error… and so, apparently, does the google website cache. Is this some problem on our end?
Luckily, guys, I found it on the Wayback machine. So you can see it here until Hulk stops smashing things long enough to fix it. http://bit.ly/17bMb6u
